The Kelowna Waldorf School invites applications
for the following positions:

  • Grades Teacher
    Required for 2010-11 School Year:

    The Kelowna Waldorf School is seeking applicants for a Grades Teacher to begin September 2010.
    Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university and Waldorf Teacher Certification.
    Experienced Teacher preferred.
    This full-time position with an annual salary of $35,000, includes dental and extended health benefits.

  • Class One Teacher
    Required for 2010-11 School Year:

    The Kelowna Waldorf School is seeking applicants for a Class One Teacher to begin September 2010.
    Must be Waldorf trained with BC Teacher Certification or eligible for BC Independent School Certification.
    This full-time position with an annual salary of $35,000, includes dental and extended health benefits.

  • Kindergarten Teacher
    Required immediately:

    Waldorf trained and/or Waldorf-experienced, with BC Teacher Certification, or eligible for BC Independent School certification.

  • Early Childhood Educator
    Required for 2010-11 School Year:

    The Kelowna Waldorf School is seeking applicants for an ECE lead teacher to begin September 2010.
    Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university and Waldorf Teacher Certification, and a BC registered Certified Early Childhood Educator.
    Experienced Teacher preferred.
    This is a temporary, part-time position at $17/hour at 25 hours/week.

  • Even when no active postings appear here, we always welcome enquires from Waldorf Trained Educators who would like to join our community.




    Teacher applicants must be Canadian citizens or Landed Immigrants and be eligible for a British Columbia Teacher’s Certificate for Independent Schools.

    We seek
    mature individuals who are committed to Anthroposophy and able to share responsibility for developing our school. We currently offer German, French, Handwork, Woodwork, Music, Eurythmy, Gardening and Games as part of our Waldorf Curriculum. Our classes range from Preschool to Grade Eight, and we also offer an excellent after school program for early childhood as well as grade school children.

    Our faculty is dedicated to working out of the pedagogical ideals of Anthroposophy. Supporting the faculty is the administrative team, a committed Board of Trustees, an involved Parent Council , and a helpful and talented parent body. Locally, our school has the support of the Anthroposophical community, including the Parzival members’ group, whose interests and initiatives range over architecture, biodynamic farming, and art.

    The Kelowna Waldorf School is recognized as a Developing School by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and has been providing Waldorf Education since 1982.
